Tuesday December 2, 2014. Just before 1 AM County communications alerted Kimberton Fire (61) for a truck fire in the 200 block of Coldstream Road. As the Deputy Chief was arriving, police were advising the truck was well involved in fire and spreading to a nearby barn. 61 Chiefs decided not to add the full first alarm response to the call and make a quick hit on the fire. Engine 61 was brought in the driveway and attacked the fire with a 1 ¾ inch hand line and quickly contained the fire to the vehicle and some wood trim on the barn doors. Rescue 61 arrived and provided additional personnel to help overhaul the fire. The fire was placed under control at 0111 hours. The fire was determined to be accidental. Kimberton Fire units cleared at 2 AM.
