Oven fire spreads to cabinets

Friday March 6, 2026. It was just after 2:30 PM when Kimberton firefighters were alerted for an appliance fire that was reported as an oven on fire. The homeowner was using the self-clean option on the unit. First-in crews were met with smoke coming out the 3rd floor window and the oven burning outside the unit and extending into the cabinets. Firefighters used a pressurized water extinguisher to knock down the fire and began the process of shutting off power to the unit. The oven was then removed from the home, as crews began checking for extension and ventilation of the home. Crews spent about an hour on the scene.
