Sunday January 25, 2015. Firefighters from Kimberton Fire (61), Ridge Fire (62), Ludwigs Corner Fire (73) and a Ladder from Phoenixville (65) along with a MICU from Trappe EMS (Phoenixville Division-85) were alerted for a house fire on Beaver Hill Road. Within minutes the Engine and Tanker from Kimberton were on the way. Communications reported a fire in a second floor bedroom, along with a call from a neighbor advising he saw fire from his home. An initial report indicated fire from the windows and possibly the roof. The Chief requested a Tanker Task Force Alarm due to no hydrants in the area. This alarm brought Tankers from: Lionville, Valley Forge and Linfield Fire Companies. Initial crews went inside to battle the fire as Phoenixville’s Ladder crew headed to the roof to ventilate. Additional crews safely removed the families pets. Many of the Tankers were not used due to the aggressive interior attack and the fire was placed under control within the hour. Fire investigators from the Chester County Fire Marshal’s office and State Police FM’s office investigated the fire and determined it to be accidental. Chief Pollinger (61) had command and there were no injuries.
