Shed Fire Rapps Damn Road

The Kimberton fire Co. along with Phoenixville fire Dept., Valley Forge Fire Co., West End Ambulance, were dispatched to a house fire on Rapps Dam Rd. Upon arrival the Deputy Chief found a small shed type building ( approx. 5 x 10 ft.) fully involved with no exposures to any other structures. The fire was down graded to 1 engine only due to the size of the building and the fire was under control within minutes. After talking with the homeowner, he was using the building as a smoke house to cook food, as the winds blew it caught the wood on the building on fire. The building was totally destroyed. No injuries occurred during the incident.
