At 5:13 PM County communications alerted Kimberton Fire and West End Ambulance for a chimney fire in the 1000 block of Snyder Avenue in East Pikeland Twp. Fire crews arrived to find an active fire burning in the flu pipe. They could hear the roar and the pipe from the wood stove to the chimney was glowing red. The firebox was cleaned out and the Tower crew sent the bucket up to the chimney. Firefighters spent about an hour on the scene extinguishing the fire. There were no injuries.
