Tuesday May 9, 2023. While crews from Station 61 were over in Montgomery County assisting on a search detail with the ATV, Kimberton Firefighters and West End Ambulance were alerted around 4:45 pm for this accident at Route 724 (Schuylkill Rd) and Pikeland Ave. First In units found a 2-vehicle crash with several injuries. West End Ambulance also brought out a 2nd unit and both transported the injured to the hospital. Firefighters also assisted with traffic control and scene cleanup. Fire Police from Spring City also assisted by closing Route 724 EB at Stoney Run Rd. Crews spent about an hour on the scene.
